This project was my first dive into architectural visualization using VRay. The kitchen is based on my own, which was due for a renovation at the time, so I decided to capture it as a personal render while exploring photorealistic techniques.
I took this opportunity to push my skills by learning VRay from scratch and experimenting with the Substance plugin in 3ds Max. I also created custom materials in Substance Designer, including the worktop surface and cupboard doors.
The goal was to achieve realism that closely mirrors a photograph, using VRay’s physical cameras and depth of field to emulate real world images.
Created some time ago, this project reflects an early stage in my journey into archviz and material authoring.
