This project showcases a series of photorealistic renders of the BMW M4 GTS, created to explore automotive lighting, composition, and realistic materials. Each render was crafted to highlight the car’s sculpted design and surface characteristics across both controlled studio setups and dynamic exterior scenes.
Rendered in VRay, the focus was on achieving a high end, production quality finish. Attention was paid to accurate reflections, realistic paint response (including metallic flakes), and physically correct lighting. Each shot was composed to stand on its own while maintaining consistency across the full set.
This series demonstrates a balance between technical precision and visual storytelling, with post-processing used minimally to retain the integrity of the raw renders.
The BMW M4 wasn't chosen only for its distinctive silhouette and performance-focused design, but also because it’s my personal favourite car making it the perfect subject to push realism, lighting practice, and paint behaviour in both studio and environmental contexts. This project also serves as a focused addition to my portfolio as I expand into automotive visualization.
